Welcome to our new Eastern Cape Horse Care Unit website, kindly sponsored by MOC Foundation, Sentratek, and i4africa Information Systems.

The Eastern Cape Horse Care Unit was started in the Nelson Mandela Metro in June 2006 as a branch of the Highveld Horse Care Unit.  It was perceived by a number of concerned residents that there was a dire need for education of horse and donkey owners in the Metro.
 
We service on an ongoing basis all the Metro townships, i.e. Port Elizabeth, Uitenhage and Despatch, as well as Clinics in Humansdorp and Grahamstown, and have a good working relationship with the NMMM Cowboys and S A Police Services.
